Arctic Alaska Peonies and the member farms are working with, or are part of, the organizations listed below. Many of them have further information on peonies in Alaska or elsewhere in the world. 


Alaska Peony Growers Association

The mission of the Alaska Peony Growers Association (APGA) is to provide support and assistance to its members in all aspects of growing, processing, transporting and marketing of peony plants and flowers.

Their web site includes information on peony research into varieties, markets, peony care, and other topics. many of our farms are members of APGA.

Georgeson Botanical Gardens

The Botanical Garden of the University of Alaska Fairbanks has done a lot of research on peonies. Their result of the original research on peonies in Alaska was the spark that set off the peony industry in Alaska.

Their web site houses all of their research results, much of it on peonies. This includes varietal research, bud life research, picking studies, herbicide studies, insect and disease research, etc.

Association of Specialty Cut Flowers Growers

The Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers (ASCFG) is a national organization of cut flower growers.  They support the industry, conduct research, and educate their members.

Alaska Grown Program

The State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources Division of Agriculture administers the Alaska Grown program, which is designed to increase consumer awareness and consumption of Alaska agricultural products. The agriculture industry in Alaska created the Alaska Grown logo to highlight products grown in Alaska.

American Peony Society

The American Peony Society (APS) is a group of American and Canadian peony growers, hybridizes and other peony lovers. They evaluate varieties and register new varieties. Several of the farms in our cooperative are members of APS.
